DMS Group Buy!!

After some what i hope was good negotiating i've got DMS to agree to offer the following Group Buy on their B7 RS4 re-map.

Inclusive price of £1000 for the map & that of course includes the after sales care as described on the other now semi-infamous thread. The DMS list price for this re-map is £1495+VAT & has to date never been available to the public for less that £1295+VAT so a saving of between £522 & £757.

That being FOC map back to stock should you wish to remove the map come re-sale time, FOC re re-map if those nice folk at your local Audi Dealer happen to wipe your DMS map during a major software upgrade (unlikely but it can happen) & FOC map upgrade if the B7 RS4 gets developed further & additional gains are found & of course 3yrs warranty on their work (DMS can confirm any T&C's around their Warranty).

The date we're trying for is Tuesday 10th July & we need a minimum of 5 to get this price on the day.

The above price does NOT include a dyno run, however if you'd like to take advantage of this on the day it will cost an extra £100 per car.

We will look at doing a DMS RR day later in the Summer for anyone that's interested, as the cost per run on a RR day should be a good few ££'s less as i'd guess the number of attendees would be well into the teens. Bear in mind it takes their Engineer a good hour or more to apply the new map, so with 5 cars minimum to work on, this would only give a short available time for dyno runs & it takes a good while to set-up the dyno for each car if you're wanting the most accurate plots.

Please post on this thread if 1. you're interested?? & 2. can make the 10th July??

Mods: Please can you make this sticky for a couple of weeks & if it does need to reside in a different area on the Forum, please could you also have a link to it from here??

Well done Paul, superb negotiating  - Count me in and the 10th is fine.

I'd quite like a before & after dyno plot too.

Paul - Could I ask that you refer to this post (http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=55082) and respond accordingly. You'll appreciate that we take this approach to protect the forum members, and is in no means a question of your integrity :)

What sort of insurance quote's are you guys getting?
Just been quoted an extra £600 for the alleged 35hp dms are offering. I understand the ecu flash is invisable to the naked eye but its not undetectable if the unthinkable happens.

No worries Paul, its the same for everyone and nothing personal, we look to have all the GB details posted up in a standard format. The site has seen bad ones in the past :(

If you PM me the details, I'll add them to your first post here.

Are you the Harbindger of Doom

Less than a 10% increase in power & my insurer has no issues or cost increase. That said they did change their T&C's last month, so if i move insurers i'd probably have to cough up a few extra pennies. Plenty of Mod friendly insurers around though.

No way on earth an insurer would rely on a RR in a claim & if the car's wrecked, that's hardly going to happen anyway, so why tell them it's 35BHP given YOU don't think it is anyhow, why not say 20BHP or 5BHP :D

Sorry for no recent responses, i decided a week in Portugal was needed to ended up partaking in some R&R with the family, plus the Forum has been down since i got back.

Anyhow, do we have anmore for this GB?? By my reckoning we have 3 so far & all 3 want their cars on the RR. Am i correct??

I'll be getting mine re re-mapped on the day (10th July) but as i've already had the initial re-map, i won't count otwards the GB numbers as they won't be charging me for this.

Rest assured the 3 (assuming i've counted correctly) will secure this discount & please make sure you're their on the day as agreed (10th July). If required i can get you some directions?? We do really still need another 2 so those sat on the fence, jump off & spend some ££'s on what you'll agree when you've got this is money well spent.
