Being a really fussy bugger.
Although I am happy with the purchase
Anyway we can polish these up a bit.
They are a bit dull compared to the rest of the carbon fibre under the bonnet.

Fitted mine at the weekend, decided to leave the silicone hoses for a more OEM look

Must admit. They do look a vast improvement on the OEM vents.
I will fit mine very soon.
Personally I like the original hoses.

I will have to sort out 4 x black plugs to eliminate the 4 fixing holes left from the redundant mounting bolts.

Yeah, those accordion hoses look fine.

Audi should have done carbon intakes from new. They look the part.

The vendor should sort it out, really.

Just received mine. Looks like I got lucky and received a matching pair.
I agree with Ben here. Message the retailer and ask him to arrange it. 👍

Depends how far you want to take it (and whether or not you want to address any pitting, etc.), but the following video may be a useful reference:

Yeah, have already asked him (and explained the reasoning behind it), but he seems to prefer we sort it out amongst ourselves and he then reimburses us (partly due to not having any spare stock available, as yet).

I paid half as deposit as instructed but not received anything as yet - was going to collect as only up the road - should we have heard something by now? Looks like most have been received? CheeRS

Hats off to the guy - finished making up another set and then drove all the way over to my place to exchange the mixed-up part.
Unfortunately, the personal touch probably won't be practical in @cover99 's case (due to the distance involved), but the way this was handled does seem to reinforce his genuine nature and approach.

@marv8 - have you messaged him on FB recently? Perhaps the recent mix-up delayed it all a bit. As above, seems genuine enough so no doubt they're in the pipeline and you'll be salivating over them soon! :rocker:

Must echo what Nick has said previously. Exchange intake sent out and whole situation dealt with efficiently by James.

Thanks again Chris for organising the group buy!!

I’m glad to hear this mix up has been sorted now and everybody is involved is happy with the outcome.

With regards to him collecting the part from you that is the sort of bloke he is.
