I spoke to a lady called Jill at Performance Brakes toady and asked about reduced life span compared to OEM with the Alconss and she said she is going to do some research and see what options she can come up with. I said I'd like to do the odd track day with mainly fast road use and would like to save weight but also want a reasonable life span. wait and see what she comes up with..

There is audi dealer selling the front discs for £620 odd for the pair...would this not be a better option then eurocar parts for brembo ones near the same price?

As i need discs too..

You just need to look at them to see they are the same. Brembo are not in the business of making cheap OEM copies.
They make the calipers too.

Now RS4 expert I am not, however when the RS4 needed front brakes recently- I did a lot of research. Through working in one of the large franchises husbands quote for front brakes - cost +10% £600ish for front discs and £300 for front pads. With the rears costed in as well it came to a healthy £2500! I also looked into the phaeton option and found that it wouldn't work as they are 360mm where as the Audi ones are 365mm so even changing the bells wouldn't work, but I didn't do it, so I can't confirm whether that's actually the case or not.

I agree it is about £600 for front discs now, but EBC Yellow Stuff pads are better than OEM pads and are about £200 for the front so about £800 for the parts or £860 fitted.
The rears are about £550 for discs and £100 for EBC Yellows. This means you can buy the whole lot and have it fitted for about £1570.

Or you can buy front and rear discs with OEM pads here for £1900 plus add another £120 for fitting:

You sure about that.
Im certain that the Phaetons are 365mm.
I have a spare set or rotors if you need me to measure .
