EPC light, opnions or experience required please

Hi guys, the other day I was driving along and my EPC light came on. No funny runnning, as smooth as can be all along the rev range so I continued to work as normal. It stayed on when leaving work but then went out half way home. I plugged in the vcds and it says that there was a momentry loss of air pressure or low pressure to both banks of the engine. This was on low load iirc 22%. So i reset the fault and drove for another 100 trouble free miles.
Today it has come on again on the exact same piece of road no less! Same gentle load as i noted exactly what i was doing at the time. Any ideas guys? I wonder if it may be the power flap or a dirty air filter? I will check tomorrow but though it would be good to ask here as am sure somebody will have had a simillar problem in the past.
