Bought a genuine cable last week from Ilexa. Been holding out until my son (B7 2.0tdi avant) needed one so that I could get him to go halves in his hour of need.

So guess what.......i buy it,use it then pass it to him and not seen it since. I now have to ring him to ask him if I can 'borrow' the cable and drive to his to get it because he is busy working !!

Oh yeah..guess how much money I have seen from him so far.....yep not a cent.

Don't you just love 20yr olds.

By the way, don't mind helping out other members if they are in urgent need - South Manchester/Derbyshire/West Yorks border (Stalybridge) although my ability is still limited.

Chunky79,

With regards to the above, when have you ever know a 20yr old lad to be:

1) Be bother to help out with anything (unless it's for a good looking girl in distress!)

2) Even be in when you need them.

Bigsidavies, you have no chance of ever seeing either the cable or the money. I would say that you should chalk it down to experience, but I have a feeling that you knew this would be the outcome as you have had 20yrs of similar occurrences!

Glad my boys not old enough to drive yet!
