hi all,

just to start by putting out the feelers as to what S3 owners have and use the vagcom.

i would also like to know how easy it is to do a data log and record cars power etc and make the car beep when locking and opening.

i am a new user to the vagcom.

8P S3 or 8L S3?

It very easy on each but doing the locking tweaks may vary.

The locking tweaks will be completely different between the 8L and 8P - the 8P has a central electronics/comfort module that uses Long Coding.

There is a lot of information on the Ross-Tech wiki for both 8L and 8P.

Think he has the 8L S3 - pretty straightforward to tweak the central locking on that.

The registered version of the software will show the suggested values to get the desired result.
