I have just bought a 2006 A4 DTM for the wife and when doing a few checks cannot connect to either the Engine (I, II or III) or the Airbag module. I have tried it with the latest VAG Com version, v4 and v3.
Other modules appear okay. Any ideas?
Airbag light is on and need to reset it.

I fixed this...by removing the ABS plug (to the ABS pump) and trying to connect.....all modules accessible.
Weird or what?
I had 1 little gremlin remaining which was the TCS light remaining on the dash. Switched the car off and on and it has gone...
Very weird but all fixed.

The latest VAG-COM version is 908 - I think you may have an ancient version...Tartan_Rob wrote:I have tried it with the latest VAG Com version, v4 and v3.

The current version would not work either. I regressed to an older version as I thought that may fix it.

Hi Rob,
Are you using a fleabay cable? just cause I am at the moment (spending too much money on getting a misfire sorted to be able to afford a real one) and have a similar problem.
if you are, where is the ABS plug?
thanks in advance
Lee

I have a genuine new cable from Ross Tech. The ABS pump location normally is front nearside, above the wheel arch. You'll see all thr brake lines coming out of the hub. There is a large multiplug that you need to remove. If this is your issue....

Rob, any update on this? Currently I can't connect my VAG-COM and I have an EMS warning.
