Can someone please tell me (and provide the specific link) for the lead I need to buy for my B5 RS4. Been reading some posts and some people are using thrid party leads with shareware programs. Seeing as my car is almost 8yrs old will the cheaper thridparty lead be OK for me or should I be buying the proper lead?

If you want a lead that's guaranteed to work, then get a genuine Ross-Tech one (for your B5 any dual-K lead will be fine).

If you want a lead that might work but might not, and if you go USB then a lead that will probably have USB driver hassles, then get a third-party one.
