Which module and block needs to be logged to calculate FATS times?

Can someone give me a step by step guide of how to calculate?

Thanks

FATS stands for For advancement of the S and is a standard test to measure performance. Involves logging the time it takes to get from 4200rpm to 6500 rpm in third gear using WOT (pedal to metal).

It's simply a measure of how quickly the car accelerates between 2 defined engine speeds, 4200 rpm and 6500 rpm
So all you need to calculate is TIME STAMP and ENGINE SPEED
Because these cars acclerate so quickly, it's worth getting two time stamp fields and two engine speed fields included in your log so the figure is more accurate as this will halve the time between each data grab and you'll get as close as possible to 4200/6500 on your logs which will help with accuracy.
(it's almost impossible to get VAG COM to catch the data exactly at 4200 & 6500)

Also ideally you need a flat road and you should take the readings in both directions then average the 2.

Okay so uploaded some runs today to the following site and although I calculated mine manually on the spreadsheet and came up with 3.69s the link following shows different.

Is this a good result for a remapped car? Is it running ok?

I did - seems remarkably quick for a stage 2 S4 - do you have an RS4 gearbox? Maybe you should plug the numbers into the mrc FATS calculator?

Aah, I see (I sort of scanned the signature and saw B5, assumed it was a B5 S4).

In that case, a stage 2 RS4 should be around 440hp and should be slightly quicker than that? (Stage 2 is remap + catback on the RS4)

My own car is a similar spec but with gutted pre-cats and oem cat-back and can do 3.2 FATS??

Sorry it's not stage 2, it's custom remap which I thought MRC referred to as stage 2, I will amend the sig if wrong.
