Hi,
Has anyone gotten VAG-COM running through a USB connection to their car using an Intel Mac running VMWare or Parallels and Vista?
Was in process of ordering from Ross-Tech but the have very decently suggested I seek guidance before charging me!!!
Thanks...!

I run mine on Bootcamp with no issues whatsoever. I'd give you little chance on VM, but can't comment on Parallels...

Oi! I work for VMware and can tell you VAGCOM works fine in a virtual machine with a virtual com port. That said I used linux as a host OS not MacOS.
I may be able to test this for you if need be? I'm sure someone must have a mac in the office....

Are you using a RossTech genuine cable or an eBay one?

Thanks guys.
To all I can confirm that the official Ross-Tech USB cable works with an Apple MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5.2, running VMWare Fusion 1.1.2, and of course VAG-COM. As tested today with an R8.
