Hi,
due to other financial 'woes', shall we call them, at the moment, I've had to resort to a 3rd party lead and the shareware version of VAG COM 409. I know, I know - it will be done properly asap......

My question is, should I be able to clear any faults found using the shareware version? Just that I have a couple of faults I already know about - and spoken to Doug about, and removing the light from the dash is to stop my annoyance at the moment.

Only concern is that there was another message, in red text quoting engine fault 01 then what looked like the number 10711 (?). For info, the faults already known were 17819 & 17831, which we will be removing properly soon.....

Also, just remembered, when I tried to click on clear all DTC, a box flashed up informing me that a 'professional interface' was required to carry out this request...?

Ok, all sorted - eventually navigated my way around the software, etc and have worked it all out now.
