Software for mileage correction

Hi,
does anyone know about a program which can modify/repair your tachometer?
I know I should ask this in the 'Vag Com' but I guess I will get more answers here.

I think you mean odometer, tachometer is rev counter!

a friend of my old mans did his on his rs4, digital dave they call him.
if u have no luck finding the software to do it he wil be able to help. he lives in the Bradford area. pm me if u want me to get his number for you

Surely this is not what I think it is? I looked on the website and this software says it can "change the mileage and Km"
I do hope I have got it wrapped round me knackers.
