Anyone know how you can turn this airbag off please.

Fed up with having to re-set it (sometimes after several attempts and much seat jiggling) every time I carry a front seat passenger.

Cheers

Cable tie the airbag connector under the seat.

Do you mean tie the plug into the socket or the whole lot to the underside of the seat?

Cheers

To be honest I haven't done it, this is what i've read though, but not 100% sure.

Do both to be safe, can't do any harm!

Mine has come up with exactly the same problem over the weekend too!

Fault code 01218, resistance too high in passenger seat trigger unit, intermittent.

Have cleared it a few times now and it managed to stay off for a day or so by tapping the back of the seat lightly. So I may suspect a dodgy connection somewhere. If not, looking like a new trigger unit/airbag assembly for the seat!

:audibash: Another item to the list of bits needed from main stealer...

I wouldn't worry too much, mine does this virtually every time someone sits in the seat.

I find a bit of wiggling of the Yellow wire under the seat usually cures it.

Had a good wiggle yesterday and the missus sat in the car operating the laptop tonight and it stayed off.

might go and find myself some nice blonde to tag along with me everywhere then in the hope of keeping the light out! mind you, would be nicer looking at her then than looking at a small round red light on the dash.. :bigblink:

Would she be like the US Nissan Pathfinder advert for "independent front suspension"???
