I did some runs the other day, max reading 268G/s @ 6800rpm....

Anyone else done any to compare?

I have no engine mods apart from full Miltek with no cats, std air filter (for some daft reason...)..run was done in 2nd and 3rd gears

268 g/s divided by 0.8 = 335 hp. Sounds just about right for an S4.

What would have been interesting is if you had done runs before and after the exhaust mods. My guess is it doesn't do much except make noise..;-)

Uwe - if that calculation is right then I would definately agree. The noise though is simply glorious....

On another note I thought the 0.8 calculation was only for the 2.7t engine?

Nope, basically it takes a known amount of air and fuel to produce a certain number of horsepower. Any variation would be due to differences in the thermal efficiency of the engines, but modern engines should all be very close in that regard. So the 0.8 g/s per horsepower is a valid rule of thumb for all modern gasoline (petrol) engines.

Of course diesels are a completely different animal.

Interesting this calculation makes my car 415bhp (332 / 0.8 )

Depends on what mods you have and of course it is not exact but a ball park figure. a std B5 MAF top out around 332 gal/s, to go higher you need to look at an RS4 MAF. You may be runing higher than that. A Fats run will give you a better idea of what power you are running.

286 is high for a std V8 B6.
