00290 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Rear Left (G46)
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

I'm assuming this means nearside, but then I've got about a 50/50 chance...

I had this error, one senor is cheap (I thinkt he OS one!) and the other is about 200 quid. It ended up being the ring that the sensor looks at, not the sensor itself in my case.

So I would check that, and if its still the sensor I think have a second hand one somewhere (I just left the new sensor on my car)

I've had this "ABS judder" for some time, and we've had the fronts off and given them a good clean, one of the sensors did look slightly damaged. But this is the first time it's thrown an error code (need to check the rears now!)

Anyway, does anyone know their left from their right...?

I would take it as nearside, but as you say... it's 50/50

Left and right are always when looking in the direction of forward travel. So on a RHD (UK) car; left = nearside, right = offside.

Yea, sorry Mark - you're probably too young to remember this silly TV gameshow, but the deal with the blanketty blank cheques is that they're TOTALLY blank - worth zip, nada

PMSL!!!

although I thought the chappati should always be in the right hand (I wont go into details here, as people might be eating...), or are you left-handed too...?

(I can see that this is in danger of turning into another one of those threads - no gimpsuits please!)

Just to confirm clive, this is the NS, I checked my VAG COM logs, and this was the exact error I had, but as I said, it was not a faulty speed sensor, but the ring in the wheel that was at fault.
