I have an intermittent problem starting my car - sometimes it starts fine, other times it takes about 10 secs of turning the starter motor to splutter in to life. I have changed the battery with no success. Historically I haven't had any DTC's either. However yesterday, having plugged VAGCOM in and having started the car I noticed the following error code
Control Module Part Number: 8D0 907 551 C
Component and/or Version: 2.7l V6/5VT G02 0002
Software Coding: 05611
Work Shop Code: WSC 00853
1 Fault Found:
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
I haven't been able to reproduce it though.
Does anyone know what this error code might mean, and whether or not it might be related to my starting problem?
Many thanks in advance!
"Power Supply" DTC
RE: "Power Supply" DTC
I might have half answered my own question as I just found a similar thread where Minhea stated that this error code "means you've disconnected the battery or the ECU"
However, I have not done either of these two things. This makes me worried!

RE: "Power Supply" DTC
You stated that you changed the battery with no success. That means you had to have disconnected it at some point, hence the DTC.
No idea about the starting problem though - maybe a dodgy sensor somewhere?

Re: RE: "Power Supply" DTC
Yes, I got that one on my old knackered battery as well, plus all manner of other DTC's from loads of modules. All of which disappeared when I put a new battery on.Dippy wrote:You stated that you changed the battery with no success. That means you had to have disconnected it at some point, hence the DTC.

Re: RE: "Power Supply" DTC
Sorry for not being clearer. I changed the battery a fair while ago (~6 months) and I have checked for DTC codes since changing the battery without seeing this one before. Perhaps I am wrong though - I will see if I can replicate the problem (with the intermittent starting problem) before worrying.Dippy wrote:You stated that you changed the battery with no success. Thanks for your input.
