what one for a b5 s4?

B5 S4 Avant T reg 99
dont want to order the wrong thing
my laptops a P3 700mhz 128mb running XP, want the usb one , as nodoubt ill be upgrading the laptop to one with out an RS232 port.
from the ross-tech site, i think its,

is that all i need to buy?
whats the normall tax costs on this when its sent to the uk?

Your laptop should be OK if the XP on it is reasonably clean. 500 MHz is the minimum for USB interfaces, 1GHz is recommended. If your XP has accumulated a lot of cobwebs, you might want to consider backing up your data and doing a fresh, clean XP installation.
Yes, a KEY-USB is fine for the B5 S4.
Yes, that is all you need to buy to get a full, current version of VAG-COM up and running for your car.
Taxes: I'm sure you'll have to pay VAT. (There's no VAT here in the USA). Your government may hit you for other taxes as well, but I really don't know. Taxes due upon import will be collected from you by the courier company (who will already have paid them to get the package through customs).

the laptop, has nothing but xp on it, so not slowed down by other crap running!
thanks for the quick reply, will check out the uk sellers, put a deposite down on an s4 2hrs ago, so will be ordering as soon as i get the car in my hands!

You will be fine. I only have 333 MHz and 64 ram and it works fine

yep running well, tho whilst brousing ebay yesterday, i bid and won 128mb ram for £7 so with 256mbs now its should running just that bit smoother
