Hi,

If your ECU is the 8D0 907 551C part number, then there is no EGT measuring block. If it is an 8D0 907 551D, then it's block 112.

HTH,

Mihnea

what are the safe peaks of egt. Is momentary peaks of 980-1000 acceptable after heavy 4 gear pulls?

By my standards, NO. Most cars that I tune very rarely exceed 945. 980 is accepted as tolerable by the factory but that is running factory boost levels/timing and fuelling (which has to pass very strict emissions).

Hmm. I have the 8D0 907 551C so no EGT temp block on 112. Well it does come up EGT temp, but he value just looks like rpm to me.

I was going to log some before and after figures for an exhaust change. Is there anything else worth logging along the lines of EGT temp while I have the change beforehand?
