AIRBAG reset help

Post by GrimReaper » Thu Mar 02, 2006 8:25 pm

Had the airbag light on my dash for a little bit now and went to try and see if i could delete the fault code when a message came. Its says that if i had a 2000 or 2001 car ( mine being a 2000 model S4 B5 version) and if i have airbags with with model No.6Q0 909 605-A then i should procede with caution as the Vag-com software could kill the sensors totally. It lists VW/Seat/Skoda/Bora/Jetta and Bettle. i know it doesn't say anything about Audi on the list but a lot of the parts are used across the vag group and i dont want to set the airbags off. Just wondering if anyone else with post 2000 model has had this come up and carried on.

Yeah i have checked the connector under the seat i'm just worried as my car falls into the MY00 part of the warning and i dont want the airbags going off or kill the sensors meaning i have to replace them. How would i find out what code the airbags are?
