The brake wear indicator has been coming on intermittently the last few times I have take my RS4 B7 out. I am looking at purchasing a Vag Com and was wondering whether I could get access to information on the state of my brakes, disk and pad wear ideally? Is this possible? If so I can easily justify the purchase and may even pay for itself being able to purchase parts myself.
Thanks.

Re: VAG Com brake information??
Buying Vagcom/VCDS cannot help you identify the wear rate of either your pads & discs. Only a visual inspection and measurement will help you do this.
If the warning light is coming on then your pads will certainly need changing soon, lipped discs with a rippled/grooved face are also a good sign that discs need renewing.
