Getting temptd to go vag-com now!

Looks like it's best to go direct to Ross-Tech, correct?

Correct Graham  in my view.

Even if you get hit for duty & VAT, it's worth every penny - I placed my order on a Monday and it was with me on the Wednesday.

So how does this work.

If I want to measure 50-70 mph, I enter 50 and 70 and click start. I start driving and when I pass 50 it starts timing and stops when I pass 70? That would seem logical.

Now for the 0-60mph and 1/4 mile.

Does it start time from the next time the car moves after clicking start? If 60 isn't reached and the car comes to a complete halt again before the timing is stopped, does it automatically start again?

Basically can I set this up at the side of my private road, pull into the centre of my private road, halt and then launch or do I have my laptop operative be setting the laptop whilst I am in the centre of my private road ready to go? :D

I think the 0-60 and 1/4mile start from the time the car moves and keeps running untill the value is reached.

I find a nice set of traffic lights on the private road give you a chance to start the timer ;)

Cool. Like you more interested in the 50-70 type figures. Will get some done sometime, good to compare with the figures from Audi Driver etc of other models too.

Private roads are very useful. I've got a lot of private roads.

I will test that tomorrow (I'll receive my VAG COM tomorrow can you imagine !! If it works, I'll be the happiest person in the world!)
