Thanks for that info on the control unit.

Would mine would fall under the july 03 as it's a 53 plate, Reg in Jan 04?

Nice to have it working though.

Ah, I did wonder whether it would come back of its own accord, but I never left it long enough. I was always straight on to it with VAG-COM.

Yours should be okay. If you have access to VAG-COM, or a printout, check the firmware version of the central locking controller (module 35). If it's D37, you've got the problem, if it's D38, you're okay.

auto lok

Mines went in for oil service and autolok function wasnt working, I phoned the dealers and told them it wasnt working was it something they done at service, no we dont change anything at service but bring it round and we will program it again free, on the way to the dealers it started working again must have the same fault on the 03 plate
