Anyone know whether the cruise control has a seperate fuse?
My cruise control has stopped working, but the list of fuses in the O&M manual does not cover this function.
Also the list of fuses does not correspond with the fuse box in the car, as mine does not have any fuses in the two slots that say they are for the sidelights! There also are no contactors in these slots either.
Anyone have a more detailed fuse list for the S4 B6?
I've tried the three fuses that state they are for the engine managment system and these are fine.
Recently had a new ignition switch fitted and I think they may have disconnected a plug while doing it, but would prefer to check the simple things like fuses before I go back to them and discover it's something else and they hit me with a £40 diagnostic fee.

RE: Cruise Control problem on S4 B6.
Check the clutch switch - if that's failed then the cruise won't engage.
A VAG-COM scan would be a good idea too.

Thanks PetrolDave.
What control module covers the clutch switch? 01-Engine or other?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Cruise Control problem on S4 B6.
I was thinking of a scan to check for any fault codes from both the engine ECU and the SCSM.

Obviously a mechanical fault problem with the Cruise Control Switch (E45). But which of the switches is this, brake, clutch or steering column?
I apologise for my ignorance. It took me long enough to get my VAG-COM scanning fully!
Any help would be most gratefully received.

RE: Cruise Control problem on S4 B6.
Did a further scan looking at the measure Block function of block 066.
I am getting the following databits
Nothing pressed or engaged - 00001000
Clutch depressed - 00001100
Brake depressed initially - 00001001
Brake pressed harder - 00001011
Both brake and clutch pressed - 00001111
Then after approximately 2 minutes I am getting the fault code stated above.
When I scan the block 066 I am seeing the following databits - 11001000
If this is a problem with the switch at the steering column, is this a major job to fix?
