VAGCOM for idiots.........well, just me really!

Hi guys

I have just got all the kit I need to run Vagcom on my laptop, I have installed it all and it all seems to work ok. BUT I havent got a clue what Im doing? Ive searched the forums but still cant work out what to do.

I have found the thread that has all the codes in to change different settings but what do I do with the codes? Where do I put them? Ideally I want to set up the doors to lock automatically? Anyone got a step by step guide?

you really need the bentley manual to know what you are doing. they contain the basic settings and expected ranges for all control modules.

i have posted to this forum the central locking codes. do a search for "locking codes".

Hi Stu,

A friend of mine set the auto-locking on mine last week and I watched him do it so I could always lend a hand if need be.

Add 32 (I think) to the pre-existing code.
