18048 - Internal Control Module: EEPROM Error

Post by MarkB » Thu Oct 05, 2006 8:59 am

After doing some boost logs this morning I thought I'd scan for fault codes and got this...

Address 01: Engine
Part No: 8D0 907 551 D
Component: 2.7l V6/5VT G 0002
Coding: 05711
Shop #: WSC 00088

1 Fault Found:
18048 - Internal Control Module: EEPROM Error
P1640 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0000

The Ross-tech wiki says 2 possible things. I've cleared the error and hope it doen't come back. Could it be related to my boost problem, I doubt it?

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It does happen occasionally, clear it and it likely won't come back.

Cheers,
