FATS help please...

Post by rolskii » Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:21 pm

Can someone clue me up to FATS please...

Want to try and get some logs before I do my downpipes this week.
1) So do I make some data channel logs on vag-com...?
2) What channels, exact rpm(4,200-6,500rpm in 3rd isnt it)..?

Also where are the post's so I can compare too, I have scoured loads and came up with an external web link to a tuners table that was generic...?

Thank you .... :D

Saf,

The link above explains it pretty much, what are you unsure about exactly ...?
Have you unlocked your copy of vag-com or do you have a cable with a dongle in it, this will release the capabilities of the program../

For FATS you really only need to log Block 3 (which is available on shareware version).

Ross tech explains the logging process http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/m-blocks.html

Once youve logged a run you can then look at the data file using Excel or other spreadsheet application.
