fired one up today in the local showroom and boy the sound!!!! Awesome

In two minds know seeing the value dropping on the V8's 110k is a lot to pay...Is the performance that good..

Oh yes the performance is that good.
Furthermore, it is extremely good value for money particularly when you consider you get so many extras in the standard car plus a Lambo engine thrown in for fun.
It is the most extraordinary car to drive, the power and balance is sublime.
I think one of the reasons that the V8's are coming down is the fact that it always should have been the V10, it's the perfect solution.
Should have called it the R10.

Iv I had the money then I would def go for the V10, the R8 is agreat looking car. I had the plesure of looking over one that my mates folks had delivered to test drive. was a amazing car, and the noise is great! All round Ceramics would be a must have !
