Spoke to Audi Uk the R8 team, Who have advised me that no info is still availible for the V10 as yet.

It only took them 1 week to return my call. And i have placed a deposit on one over 4 months ago..

Anyone else no anything...

Never heard of one being planned for... might be the same as that RS3 that never saw the light but Autocar introduced to everyone...

in autocar they were talking of the R8 having an engine "based" on the RS6 engine.... and now that the new baby Lambo has a new V10 5.2 @552bhp n/a engine it could either be this or a detuned RS6 engine? viously the V8 aside.

cant see the RS6 out gunning an R8 what ever engine they stick in it... ob

I was in Neckarsulm last week and saw 2 V10 R8s running around. Also saw racks of the V10 bumpers when I went on the R8 production tour.

John, how do you get on the R8 production tour?

Call the Audi Forum Neckarsulm and they can arrange it. The number I have for them is 0800 2834468. You can also email welcome@audi.de and inquire.

The A6/S6/RS6 production tour normally costs 6 Euro and the R8 production tour normally costs 150 Euro.

I have it on good authority that the V10 engine is naturally aspirated, and is not the RS6 engine

Ive seen the RS5 for release also as being Feb 09,on my dealers computer screen with my own eyes.So,if thats true,then the R8 V10 might possibly be true as well?Regards, SIMON.

Saw the R8 V10 at the 'ring this week during the testing week. two to be precise. One in gloss black, with I think a manual box (could only really tell from the sounds) and a flat black one with a semi aut by the sound of the downshifts. Both sounded amazing and cornered flat and level through Brunchen. Much more stable than the v12 Vantage that was follwing them.
So they exist. And so does the cab.....

Sorry no, I only had a camera phone with me. Also the cab' only went around once. There were a few people there with long lens cameras who may have scared them off from doing anymore.
I'll see ifsomeone has posted one on another site.

So the guy I was there with didn't seem to have any pictures of the cab but here it is on another site, taken the week I was there.
