R8 V10 Plus (Manual) vs Gallardo LP550-2 (Manual)

Post by y700suf » Tue Nov 17, 2020 9:30 pm

Fully expecting a biased view on this forum, I wanted to get perspectives on how the very rare MY14 R8 V10 Plus (in Manual) would compare with the even more rare MY11 Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 (also in Manual). Same power between the 2 cars although the Lambo channels it all to the rear wheels.

So on the following criteria, how would you rate the cars:

1. Rarity appeal
2. Driving experience
3. Performance
4. Future value

Just to avoid confusion, I own the R8 V10 Plus but considering selling to get the LP550-2!

Well seems like you want something slightly more rare 🤷‍♂️ The R8 will be a much better drive all round but the Lamborghini is pure cock extension 🤣 Only you can make that choice. Personally I’d go S tronic manual is old.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

From a rarity and value perspective, the manual transmission cars are more desirable.

Having said that, for the privilege of aforementioned extension, maintenance costs multiply which can put off any future buyers.

For instance, the cost to service a Lambo is in the thousands as opposed to hundreds for the R8. That definitely narrows the pool of potential buyers.
