Finally got myself an R8 :jump: and im going to be putting on new tyres all round. have got threee options
1: Original fit pirelli p zero
2: Michelin pilot supersport
3: Michelin pilot sport 4S
The p zero are cheapest that i can see followed by the supersport and finally the 4S at £200 more than the zeros but i hear good things about the Michelin. So what are peoples thoughts, experience etc. cheers
oh and where is the best place to buy from?

4. Michelin Pilot Cup 2

Depends whether you use it daily / commute in it / region you live / how many cars you have etc.....

If its a second/third/fourth car, weekend toy, doesn't get used much in the winter, and you have something else nice to take if its pissing down, the Cup 2 is another option. Will make it drive insane on a dry day when its 15+ degrees

DO NOT PUT PZERO’s on!

You will regret not splashing out the relatively minor additional amount

They are crap.

As per Ian, if it’s a weekend toy, go Cup 2’s and go 305 on the rear.

If it needs to be used in cold, wet, snow, then go for the 4S

Thanks for the replies guys. I think 4S it is. Won't exactly be a daily driver per se and do have use of other cars for short trips/really bad weather but do intend to drive it throughout winter/cold weather.
What do the 4S fit like, I presume standard size will be suitable i.e. F 235/35 R 295/30 ?

Whys that? Are 4S a little narrower in reality or is it more for aesthetics or traction etc. By my reckoning 305 will give an extra 6mm diameter overall. will that have any effect on the speedo/drivetrain etc.???

Better looks, better rim protection and better handling/traction

PS4S ordered :boots: getting fitted thursday. went for standard size front and the 305's on the rear which were actually cheaper then the 295's.
