Local Audi dealership has the following for sale.....

http://www.lakedistrictaudi.co.uk/used- ... e/car-1754

Now, its just going to be an occasional toy but what are peoples thoughts on mileage of 30k (its 30244 actually), 5 YES 5 previous owners..... I love the colour combo, I have a concern over brakes as they seem to have been painted gold & are stickered up Brembo so unsure wether its just a cosmetic thing or if they are gen Brembos ??!!

Many thanks in anticipation

Chris

It's hard to see in the photos, but the Plus model came standard with carbon ceramic brakes, cannot imagine anyone would swap those out, so could just be a colour cosmetic thing like you mention. Also the slotted grills front and back, either side of the number plates are a matt grey colour on the Plus usually. So I am not sure if this is a Plus model or not and could actually be the standard 525ps V10, I could be wrong. Having said that, a V10 with an S tronic box is still an absolute joy to drive plus or not. The ceramic brakes on a plus though are definitely that, a plus. The milage wouldn't be too much of a concern to me with full service history, but the 5 owners is a worry, why has it been passed on so much in so little time.

The brakes look like ceramics but someone has painted the calipers. And if they have done that I'd think they painted the back grills too.

Number of owners isn't a worry but it looks like it's been played with so check the quality of paint

Funnily enough I was only looking at this car the other day when browsing (dreaming!) Very odd brake caliper colour?

This isn't the first 550 bhp Plus to sneak under 80k. Probably best to hold out for another one.

Actually there's a cheaper one at Basingstoke. 17,000 miles

Cannot believe buckets were a cost option on the 550 bhp Plus!! Two cheapest with buckets (after the Lake District one) are Maidstone and Romford.

Oh the Estoril Blue is stunning! But I am biased. If reds your colour the Maidstone one surely has to be the winner, you've got to have buckets in a car like the R8. Then keep an eye on R8talk for a nice used aftermarket exhaust for sale and the smiles per miles just gets better. There's a lot of bargains to be had on used exhausts at the minute with people trading in for the new R8.

They weren't, buckets were standard on the plus. You had to tick the box for sports seats.

Ahhhh, so the buckets were a no cost option? Surprising number of cars have had them deleted!

All of the demo cars had sports seats, and that must be a good chunk of them.

Funny that this topic should pop up now as I've just bought the estoril blue one from Basingstoke, that colour with the carbon sideblades & black wheels is just stunning in the flesh. Yeah the bucket seats are v snug apparently that's why a lot of cars didn't have em specced...think that around 80k you're getting an awful lot of car for the money..£50k deprec in 2 yrs!

Estoril blue is lovey, I originally spec'd my RS6 in this, however there are horrific paint matching issues with it. Do not have a shunt!

I've heard people mention this before but I've had the bonnet sprayed twice now d/t really bad stone chips without issue. I am busy organising having the bonnet and bumper wrapped now with one of those new self healing films, I cannot remember the brand name now, so I don't have to have work done at the end of every summer season.

Plastics are the big issue. Even from the factory cars were turning up with door handles a completely different colour.

I have the Paint Protection Film on the front of my RS6. It's so much better than having stone chips and swirl marks.
