Ah okay thats interesting. Hopefully I'll be okay, i do love the colour, it's just stunning in the sunshine in the flesh. I've just noticed I grabbed an old photo there, the tax disc isn't still on haha

Personally I prefer the finish of the paint and will suffer spray work if needs be. I can understand the reason why folk do it though.

I have the Paint Protection Film on the front of my RS6. It's so much better than having stone chips and swirl marks.
Ah so you'd recommend it, thats good, I've been undecided as I was worried it would be too noticeable of an addition and make the front of the car look a different shade to the rear.

I can't see it. Unless I tell people they don't even notice it is there. It will be hard to see on a dark colour like that.

The front wing here is has the film on, the door doesn't. Not the best photo to show the colour but you can''t see the film edges.
Also, note, one of the big protection films has a slightly better sheen than the other. I think it is the Suntek, and it is the better self healer too (check with your PPF guy to be sure I got that right).

Suntek, thats the one my guy has recommended to me also. Going to have a full detail done all at the same time, should come back like a new pin.

ah you won't be disappointed, the things are fantastic. I haven't had an issue yet with speed bumps, I tend to avoid multi storey car parks though where I know the ramps are particularly steep. My front splitter does rub a little bit backing off my drive down the drop curbs if I don't get the angle right, I need to try and reduce the drop. generally though the thing is very easy to get along with.

Congratulations on the purchase! Friday will be a fantastic day

Yeah the bucket seats are v snug apparently that's why a lot of cars didn't have em specced...think that around 80k you're getting an awful lot of car for the money..£50k deprec in 2 yrs!
Wow, congrats on the new toy! :beerchug:

Mike love the RS6 performance wheels, have the standard car myself which is ballistic enough so extra 50 hp would be interesting.
With the R8 didn't really get to floor the throttle on the test drive as roads were very damp so didnt want to take any chances..how does it compare to an RS6 in terms of flat out acceleration? Friday cant come quick enough!!

I've also missed the high revving N/A engine, RS6 much different in character, you look down at the rev counter in the R8 and think its time to change up yet theres still 2500 rpm to go :P

Sports mode on and shifting with the paddles, the down shift blips are addictive! Share your first impressions once you've had a weekend of fantastic driving.

Well, after going back to have a really good look over the car I am now told it had been wrapped in black, needs some panels (bumpers mainly) re-aligning & has had some rear 1/4 offside paint (maybe when wrap removed), its Man Utd footballer ex Luke Shaws car, it looks to have had a hard life to me so Ive walked away.....

However, in the showromm is a brand new V10 plus Coupe in black with some nice upgrades, £142k offered to me for £131k.... So though circa £50k more its certainly got my interest.....

Theres alao a 2015 white V10 plus with 4k miles at JCT600 Audi reduced now to £88k which also interests me !

The story continues !
