Opinion on wheels

Post by nij » Wed Jul 13, 2016 7:11 pm

I'm not really happy with the gloss black wheels my car came with and I wanted some ideas and people's opinions.

The car came with these:

Got myself a set of rotors:

Consider refurbishing the original to look like these:

Or get a set of LMX multi spoke wheels:

Another option is to change the colour of the rotors to full titanium or full black.

What do you guys think?

For me, I prefer the LMX wheels. Failing that, original colour of the original wheels.

All to their own but why the fcuk you want to mount Vossens to an R8?. Vossen wheels are mostly cast compared to forged from Audi. The lightest OEM Audi wheels ( you won't get better and lighter) is the LMX and are made by Apptech.
Too much power is barely enough.

The LMX wheels looks most upto date, but just seems a bit too fussy. The gloss black OEM wheels makes the car look mean, but on a dull day, you can't see the wheels with everything in black.

They are the same as the OEM wheels, but with diamond cut edge.

Rotors are the only ones with some dish to them.

Would like to keep it OEM at the moment, although there's a set of forged ADV.1 I quite fancy.
I see you've got two sets of LMX wheels for your GT. :notworthy:

I've got a set of these instead. They are the 2nd generation 19" V10 plus wheels and the strange thing is that the rear centre bore size is bigger (Front 57.1, Rear 66.6).

Now, I've need to decide if I'm going to keep the titanium/diamond cut finish or change them to titanium or black.
