Hi Guys,

We have seen some nice R8's can be had for £45-48k these days. Can someone who knows on here please tell me how much one might depreciate in say 12 months of ownership. I know some of you have owned a few by reading posts, so you are probably best informed on them.

You will loose very little in deprecation, prices bottomed out a few years ago and have stayed strong ever since. What you will loose is the dealers markup, unless you buy privately of course.

Thanks for sharing that, it's good to know. We were thinking of a 997 PDK C4S or the R8 as an alternative. We are just wondering if it would look out of place parked in our Walthamstow street. lol

Yes, a members R8 V8 on here sold 3 yrs ago for £40k and it would still be worth that today (of it didn't get written off)

So, buy a decent one private and the depreciation is zero
