Worth modding?

Post by chris_m » Sun Dec 06, 2015 6:07 pm

As title really guys, are these worth modding for the gains and if so, what are the best options? For instance, would a stage 2 make much of a difference to real world power figures or are they exaggerated?

Cheers.

not the case on the V10

the engine is identical to the LP560 but is throttle limited.

so a remap will give you 100% of throttle and unleash another 50PS or so.

Stock is 525PS ... remap will give you c.580PS

high flow filters and a Capristo will complete the transformation.

a stock V10 sounds like a mini metro.

put a Capristo on it and it sounds like a Lambo

50PS is minimal!! Not likely lobbing a stage two on an RS6 of your choice :-)

agree, but have dragged a stock V10 against a modded V10, and past 5krpm it walks away

Interesting mate thanks. Where is best to go, Mrc?
You're right about the noise too, it's a little disappointing unless your nailing it.

I carried out the mods on a GT owners cars here and it makes a huge difference!

Capristo, remap and a set of air filters (carbon clean depending on mileage) completely transform the car!

Cheers Ricky

612ps/ 606nm is the outcome :)

The video doesn't capture the true exhaust note properly. It is deafeningly loud :)
Too much power is barely enough.
