Exactly this. Get it checked properly, use the fact it's an ex-Audi car as nego leverage, and make sure they give you a proper warranty
Things like show cars probably get looked after better than any private cars anyway

They all have better cars to drive, so the Audi cars get dumped in a car park at the training ground and wheeled out for press events

For the most part I agree, but you can guarantee the R8 will have had a beating.
Still, worth a look.
I'd reckon most if not all the manual pluses are AUK, can't be many customers ordering manual.

I agree. Manual would be the way to go for me but I do too much driving into London at rush hour so that would be a major pain in the b4lls.
An S-tronic is great, I have driven several and loved each one. But I just won't buy a ragged one, too many minor irritating faults develop IMHO. Engine / Gearbox esp on the S-Tronic are quite bullet proof but not the same on the rest.
I too will keep looking into the new year...
Merry Christmas!

What concerns me is the loan car aspect - you have to assume it's been thrashed from cold. Sure, it will have 2 years factory warranty...but...I may go and have a look after xmas if it's still available.
In the meantime, DTD are quoting 81k for this 94k RS6 PE for delivery in April: nardo, assistance pack, parking advanced, pano, hud, drc, advanced key, red brake calipers....

So - hate to drag us all back to R8's, but...
I have to choose between a Jan 2013 car with 2,500 miles for £82k and an Oct 2014 car with 2,500 miles for £92k.
One is the perfect Estoril Blue with cruise/camera no buckets. One is Black with buckets no camera/cruise.
I would prefer a younger car but really love Estoril Blue.
But I also have to think about value in 12 months when I am bored and can pick up the new model with 3,000 miles for £120k rather than £150k.
Both have good history and obviously I would prefer buckets
But £10k for buckets is a lot.
Any advice appreciated including on future values. I will pay cash so finance GFVs not a concern.
TIA!

.....has colour matching issues which is why it was dropped. Eyeball every panel, especially the plastics, inc door handles.

Both cars are a long way away from me so I would have to buy unseen and undriven.....
Maybe not such a good idea!
Were there any spec changes in model year 2014/2015; i.e. anything included as standard in the 2014 car which wasn't in the 2013 car?
I guess the LED headlights, Bluetooth etc were all standard on both? Struggling to find the old brochures online to compare.
Thanks for replies!
