Same question as the original post

I've been kicking the idea around of getting a V10 spyder, when i got a call about a 62 plate coupe - jan 13, v10 plus, s- tronic sub 12k miles - which with a bit of arm twisting I should be able to get for early to mid £70's

Few questions
Number plate starts with OE62 - does this make this an ex audi "managers car"
Did they come with 3 or 2 years warranty - what's the cost to extend for a year ??
Is it a good price ??
Any must have extras - over and above those items std on a plus ??

Any links to old brochures/ configuration tools etc ?

Thanks in advance

OE will be a Audi press car in 90% of case.
But its nearly 3yrs old now so if condition is OK (bucket bolsters) I wouldn't worry.

£75k is a good price and you won't see too much depreciation.

It has a 3yr OEM warranty. Assume you are not buying from a dealer? Cost to extend is c£1500-£2k depending on the level of cover and excess you choose.

Think the Pluses come pretty much fully loaded? Ceramics buckets and carbon is all you need.

If it's a press car, may have sports seats which are a bit fugly.

Is the ride as hard as suggested (plus comes with non adjustable suspension)

The mag ride on the new car is adjustable
It's still pretty firm, but when you dial it down, it's 'usable' for a long journey as long you're not expecting a limo ride like you'd get in a Mcl12c

I was under the impression no mag ride on a 2013 R8 V10 Plus ??

Some of what I have read is the ride can be a bit hard, I won't get a test drive before committing so need to be sure (due to distance, holidays and need to move quickly)

Sorry, I meant 2015 v10+
You're right, it's not adjustable on the 2013, but isn't as jarring as some other sports cars

I've just happened to have bought myself a similarly priced OE plated V10 Plus last month. They definitely had a hard life, mine had a new S Tronic gearbox under warranty in May at a cost of £29K. So, keeping up the extended warranty is a must with any R8, let alone an ex-press car. As long as it's still under warranty, drives spot on and the condition is good, it wouldn't worry me as long as it's priced correctly.

Ok - thanks for the replies

Put my interest in, together with few questions (warranty remaining, service history, condition, tyres etc)
With a bit of luck (and a lot of horse trading) it could be mine.

Is £75k too much for a "private sale" ?? Jan 2013 ??

I would say about £72k private, £75k trade if it needs a oil service £900) or tyres (£800) and warranty (£2000)

Warranty should expire in January as you can only renewal 30 days before.

Also, the ride is firm, but acceptable.
