The GT is an epic car, and has many unique and special touches, and also rare ... its GB lets it down, but will be hold strong RV's

Saw a new R8 today outside McLaren Manchester on the road for the first time, black, actually looked better than I thought on the road ... just too expensive.

£85k is a good deal for a 2014 manual plus in the right spec.

over the next 4 yrs max you will lose is £20k, so for £5k pa. for that type of car is mental value ... it will hold its own with a Huracan, 458, 12C etc on the road
And so the fun begins, GFV of 38k after 4 years, Apr 8.9!

should be able to get 7.9% APR and the GFV is always going to be out of kilter with the real market, so just look at it like you are paying into a savings account with the higher payments (assuming you won't hand it back or PX which would be madness)

Cheers - the challenge for me is that I switch out of cars so frequently that I'm unlikely to get the benefit of the low GFV. I'm going to ponder this over xmas. Am talking to a few dealers about GT4s, but I'm curious as to their price movement over the next few months.

FWIW; I'm quite enjoying the youtube vids :-)

haha - cheers

:beerchug:

GT4 premiums aren't worth paying IMO

£60 - 70k is about the sweet spot

any more it just doesn't have the power

I've had 7 R8's in the past and never kept them any longer than 6 months and have not lost much money, even buying from main dealers on 5 occasions

Main dealers are often the cheapest, especially at this time of year

I'd go for it - its a super rare care

GT4 will retain value short to medium term, but I wouldn't buy one at 90 or 100k.

Low GFV is not beneficial!

GT4's are bonkers at £110-£115 I've seen them advertised for
I missed out on the initial allocation, and have since had a drive of one. They're a great car at £68k, but not even close for a >£100k car

Edging ever closer to it but there's no way I'm going to P/ex the RS4 with them; they have a laughable view of book value (big surprise!).

There's been a few for sale since they first came out. All still for sale, and all seem to be reducing in price steadily over the months

So I too am looking for an R8 V10(+), 2014/2015, <10,000 miles, manual or S-Tronic; not white. Wheels I can replace / paint dark grey so not worried there. Would like buckets but not essential.

Less than £95k, otherwise I will buy a new one.....

So stock in the UK (from audi / piston heads) that I like leaves me with:
Audi
OV14VWR £92k Black, 3k miles (2014) http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-ca ... c=se_na_re_
OV64DVC £89.5k, Sepang, 3.5k miles (2014) http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-ca ... c=se_na_re_
OE62NFF £80k, Daytona, 10k miles (2013) http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-ca ... c=se_na_re_

PH
<unknown> £90k, Matt Sepang, 5k miles (2014) http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... ic/4847423
<unknown> £84k, Dark Blue?, 3k miles (2013) http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... ro/5102877
<unknown> £95k, Sepang, 6.5k miles (2014) http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... dr/3915431

Worried that all O?6???? end up being ex Audi experience cars. I hear what people say that maybe this is OK but having done many such experiences I would not want one of the cars, warrantied or otherwise, just my personal view.

My favourite from the above is the Matt Sepang but I hear it can be a bugger to live with.

Views?
Current Audis: Audi RS6 PE, Audi RS3 Sportback
Ex-Audis: RS4 B8, RS6 C6, A6 2.7Q, A4 2.8Q

The two Matt Sepang cars I've seen were hanging, really bad swirling. Correcting that would not be simple, as it cannot be polished in the conventional way.

Agreed re the Ox cars, I'd want to know their history.
