Cheers - am going to call them. Last q.; what would a reasonable GFV be after 3 and 4 years (so I can keep them honest)?

they can't influence the GFV, its set by VWFS

the only negotiation point is the rate, where they will have wiggle room

the GFV will not reflect reality, a manual Mk1 plus in sepang with buckets and ceramics will hold its value above all other R8's (mk1)

Cheers. Yeah - I know the stealer can't influence it but it will be useful when assessing the overall figures. They will of course come back with a comedy APR dressed up as an 'attractive fixed rate'. :audibash:

Unsurprisingly (as you predicted), with a bit of a push, they agreed to 85 going with VWFS. Am going to mull it over the Xmas and see how I feel (assuming nobody else snaps it up).

Have really been put off fast estates for now but we'll see if that subsides. If not this, RS6 PE (criminal cnuts putting paid to that) or maybe GT4, Boxter Spyder (yeah, I know) or 991 911.

80 - 90 gets some serious metal but R8+ with buckets and ceramics makes a lot of sense at the moment with two buses on the drive for the family.

LMX is going to hold a premium, extra power, and very very rare. I've seen one for sale, not sure how many came to the UK, but I'd guess single figures.

I'm a manual die hard so would love a manual V10+, but for £109 big ones you get an LMX. Hard choice when spending circa £100k on an R8.

Needs monkey boy Harris to do a video on it; then all the ones for sale would be snapped up in no time.

LMX doesn't offer enough over standard mk1 v10+
They listed around £150k, but there were a few for sale in the low £120's from dealers with zero miles
If they'd been manual, they might have done better, but can't see them trading very high, and certainly not higher than you can get a mk2 v10+ for

Current - 04/18 B9 Rs4 Nardo Grey

Agreed, not desirable enough. It's no GTx, but, in R8 land it's still going to command a premium even if that's five grand.

I think Mk2 is going to have to see 10% plus discount to sell any cars.

the LMX is a true parts bin special. the only thing it had was Laser Lights which is a gimmick. Everything else could have been spec'd onto a normal R8

The GT is an epic car, and has many unique and special touches, and also rare ... its GB lets it down, but will be hold strong RV's

Saw a new R8 today outside McLaren Manchester on the road for the first time, black, actually looked better than I thought on the road ... just too expensive.

£85k is a good deal for a 2014 manual plus in the right spec.

over the next 4 yrs max you will lose is £20k, so for £5k pa. for that type of car is mental value ... it will hold its own with a Huracan, 458, 12C etc on the road
