For those of you interested, the new R8 Configuration page is now live at
http://www.audi.co.uk/new-cars/r8/r8-coupe.html
I'm going to see it at Goodwood tomorrow, so it'll be interesting to see what it's like in the flash

Hit with the ugly TT stick.
Early V10's for £100k less and same motor look good value!

I've heard a couple of people who've seen them in the flesh left underwhelmed.
I must admit, it looks a bit pants on the configuration image. I guess I'll see tomorrow. Hopefully the car they have there isn't the awful press car with the bright orange side blades - Suzuka with black wheels and carbon blades will/would be my spec

Ive gone on there and spec'd one and it came to over 150 large.... I'm keeping the GT for a bit longer or will be changing the brand.

The nose is fecking ugly
The ridonkulous gear selector is horrible plastic
Did they still have a rear boot badge glued onto the filler cap?
Some design cues where done by a drunk man
Especially when the mk 1 has an Ali embossed filler cap and solid Ali gear knob.

70bhp gap between normal v10 and a plus seems a lot
Have to agree, a v19, or a v10 get looks better value

Yeah, cheapo plastic fuel cap with what looks like a stuck on badge
Interior is Very nice though, and dash/controls are really a step up from current Audi's (except TT)

Against all its peers at Goodwood it won a big meh. No one looking at it!

Looked sweet at Goodwood. Not a huge fan of the fussy 20s. Prefer the S6 / RS6 style 19s
However, as mentioned above, the COST of this car.... and the stuff that remains on the options list?!
Cruise? B&O? Mag ride? Sport exhaust? The Sports Plus Pack is a cheaper way to order options, but I don't think anyone who likes driving wants Dynamic steering, 'hateful' reviews on the Hurracan. And why is a larger fuel tank optional, why isn't it just standard
The Plus with 610 PS does look like the one to go for - ceramics, buckets, carbon side blades, carbon interior trim, shame it doesn't get the mag ride and / or sport exhaust standard
Respect to anyone ordering one

I guess it looks OK in its own right, but in the super car paddock, not a second look. Much more interesting stuff there. 140k gets in a faster fully spec'd 991TTS. 160k gets you in a McLaren. 120k gets you a Z06, whilst I'm not necessarily a fan of all aspects, that thing goes and sounds well.

Looking like a TT is not where you want to put your £140k
Looking like a mini P1, there is the winner

I'm inclined to agree, though everything was overshadowed by the fezzas. FXX-K what a monster. Not quite in the same financial ballpark mind.
