Spotted it on Audi Approved site at 11pm at night at Calais waiting for the eurotunnel after driving back from my wedding in Greece.

It was as close as damn it the same spec as my last red R8 (Elmo) and a good price so I jumped on it and did the deal the next morning.

Last owner had it for 4yrs and its beyond mint. Front end recently resprayed so zero stone chips (R8's suffer very badly from this) and its been recently detailed.

The interior is very genuinely like a brand new car, the passenger seat hasn't even been sat in!

Its going in next week to have paint protection shield to the front and changing the wheels to V8 5Spokes in Audi Titan.

Then Capristo exhaust next weekend.

Will be taking it to ring and spa in Sept
Manual ? Buckets or Ss ?
I love the red ones, definitely suits the r8

Looks good Dave. Recall you saying at ADI that you missed your Red one

Prices do seem all over the place, clearly very spec dependent. Was looking on Audi the other day and saw a Phantom Black manual V10 that was bang on three years old with a light interior with about 7000 miles for under 70k, seemed well priced, but very basic spec, not a single piece of carbon fibre, didn't list mag ride, although it did have a suspension button left rear of the gear stick?

Mag ride is standard on the V10, as is most things bar cosmetics.

Light interiors are a big no no and will always suffer pricewise on the R8...also CF is important.

The age is less relevant given the lack of changes from a 2009 V10 to a 2012 V10...miles, condition and spec rules.

No doubt the reason its priced so low, black interior with carbon trim I'd imagine it would be 10k more. I'd imagine the carbon is a fortune to retro fit - there are lots of pieces!

I don't mind the lighter coloured leather. I saw a car with light grey leather recently, and it was quite a nice place to be

Speaking of dark with carbon bits, this has just come up today, which is pretty well priced considering

Think I'm in the market for a manual one though until i can afford and Stronic or the plus cars come down to sensible money

I'm not that fussed on that to be honest, Would rather have the carbon interior bits that I can touch and feel. Engine carbon is a nice to have rather than a need to have.

Really like the carbon (or at least black) side blades. I'm lost as to why people spec them in Silver....

Ideal car for me is sepang blue (or red) V10 Manual with black buckets and carbon interior, side blades & <15k miles... or a nice + at under 80k that's not an ex dealer demo
Would be happy with Spider too

Spyder's are for gays.
Won't find any with buckets that aren't Plus's
Carbon engine bay gives the wow factor to the Lambo V10
