OMG
so what you are saying is after all this intake and exhaust work it's simply been bolted on with no mapping and it just explodes through the roof?

Hi

no, it was only subsequently changed the MAF and filter and now the exhaust system.

The engine ECU can adapt easily without which there is damage. :bigblink:

It's a lot more than just fueling.

And the timing and the cam advance?

Put this way, your 411ps wheel horsepower isn't that far off some very early supercharged installs.
Now they may not have been the greatest things ever fitted but the claims here are that just changing exhaust and intake components you suddenly get without any other messing about an engine that is as nearly volumetrically efficient as forced induction.

Hi

I do only classical engine optimization as it was carried out formerly.
Audi constructed the engine and adjusted it to 420 PS.
The engine has more potential and I use this.

Not sure I agree with this - this isn't a turbo engine that is easily tuned to whatever (within reason) you want. Granted, they would have had a target specification but it's a bit trickier with N/A
Even with the RS5/B8 RS4 the extra power comes from extending the rpm range and extra 250rpm with slightly better high speed breathing.

Consider this dyno comparison
Image

This is classic N/A engine performance. The B7 RS4 is compromised on low torque (as the S5 simply spanks it) as it is a compromise between top end power and low torque.
Ironically what you need to flow air at high speed is completely the opposite really low down. You can see once 5500 rpm appears the RS4 just carries on where as the other engines fall away.
The engine has more potential and I use this.
But the implication is that the engine is crippled but at 100 bhp/litre from a big v8 that's not what I'd call overtly limited.
Now yes, I do agree the engine has a lot of potential and if I had the time I'd love to open up a v8 and have a play with it. But I'd be thinking headwork and cams not just for what is really an airbox and exhaust.

Hi

In the RS5 engine, the cylinder heads were from Audi, provided with the outlet and inlet channels of the V10.
The individual channels of the intake manifold were also designed larger, but
Unfortunately, shortly after a taper throttle flaps (space for oil filter).
The exhaust manifold 4-1 from the RS5 is good, but the catalyst after
600 CPi is (ceramic) bad.
The camshafts are easily the RS5 preturned in the control period,
but make the same stroke as the RS4 B7.
These are the changes to the RS4 B7 will give the RS5 the extra power.

@adsgreen

I invite you to be my appointment on 04/12/2014 at JDEngineering in Hanzeweg 22, 7241 CS Lochem Holland here.
At 11 clock is the time.

It is also possible, which is the RS4 B7 present

And yet after all those changes between the RS4 and RS5 the torque is still the same...

Forgive me if politely decline travelling to Holland on what I believe to be a complete fantasy.
