I revised the construction again to get a larger entrance area.
Previously six honeycombs vertically, now eight honeycombs vertically.
For the modification I needed a second cover.

Are these the side blades inlets, if so why not open the hole lot ?

With a V10, below the air intakes are the air ducts of the oil coolers on the left for the engine and on the right for the gearbox (V8 also), since I have no radiators, it is aerodynamically bad to leave the surfaces open.

After four years of optimizing the intake channels, it was time to see how much carbon had deposited on the intake valves.
A specially purchased endoscope should provide information here without removing the intake manifold.
I am happy to see no carbon.

This is about the higher delivery rate of the V10 fuel pump in the V8.
Because of its age, I don't trust the V8 pump much anymore.
She served reliably for thirteen years.
