Thanks for posting :)

I think that is fantastic, I really do. To achieve all that with a petrol engine would be impressive but with a diesel  & this is Audi, not Porsche or Ferrari :)

The only thing I don't like is the coarse chrome mesh, it looks a bit cheap aftermarket to me ?

Judging by the size of it, you'd be driving from the back seats, with the passengers in the boot - in an A4 at least...

Still - sounds like fun!

Not terribly great quality, but you can listen to the engine starting from inside the car, from outside the car, acceleration and driving by here:

Hmmm, sounds like a tractor. Here's hoping they sort it out prior to sale.

Hi Jon, I saw your thread before so I did wonder why AutoExpress reviewed it. Oh well, probably is just a marketing jobbie, shame really.

I agree - It would have been an amazing machine - might have put my name down for one to reduce my carbon footprint !!!! (maybe not for that reason)

All the same, there is a 3.8 diesel R8 (3.something anyway) to be released in 2009 - a sad day in my view.

Why?

Jon
