Tailhappy - but how much...?

Post by rjkflyer » Sat Mar 22, 2008 7:58 pm

Have an RS4 but hot an R8 on loan whilst RS4 fixed.

R8 BRILLIANT. But/and pretty tailhappy in the wet - given the RS4 is all but infallable in the wet, am not as confident under power in the R8 as the RS4.

Apparently the split is 70:30 not 60:40 R:F like the RS4.

Anybody tell me how far it will really let go before the ESP holds it in...?

In other words, is it as bootable as the RS4...?!!

It can bite, so you do have to watch it - especially at low speed - roundabouts in the wet are fun.

It's interesting how the RS4 just keeps holding on, and the R8 is completely different.

I have only had the R8 2 weeks, so still finding the edge of the envelope - carefully!!
