Always insisted from the day I bought her I would live and let be, but now I can't ignore this carbon issue andwhat with all the positives about cold air feeds, millteks and alike...................... :redrs4: off she goes......................

Good choice.

When is she booked in?

I cant begin to tell you what a difference getting the carbon removed makes. Mine had 6 years and 60k worth so it was pretty bad, completely transformed the car, cold starts are significantly improved, engine runs smoother and pulls stronger. Money very well spent.

Yes I am quite looking to forward to the results from the work. Having owned the car for nearly four years I suppose your not really going to notice the drop in ps year to year with
the carbon building up as it does. Still feels quick to me and like a new to every time I push that start button

I am actually just looking back at my topic post inital statement and laughing now as this is what I am having done:

Carbon Clean..........Remap Stage 2..........Fit Cold Air Feed..........Gut Precats..........Full Milltek Catback Non Res Valved Black Tips..........Stage 1 Manifold........

High Flow Filter..........KW V3 Coilovers..........H & R Arbs..........also considering brake upgrade but just awaiting thoughts on this from Doug MRC

Not as much as you. I started of with a new back box (tubi rumore) which is sitting in my hallway eagerly awaiting to be fitted. Then it ended up being booked in for fitting the Tubi, milltek non res centre section and H pipe,re cat removal, cold air feed, stage 2 remap and new near side aux rad.
If I'm taking it to Doug I may as well get all those bits done at the same time. Depending on what the initial dyno run says I will see how much power I am down and then probably get a carbon clean, but not on the same day; want to get it back to hear the exhaust first.

Good move - sounds like you'll have a beast of a car! Mine's in their today getting a carbon clean, manifold port stage1 and re-map stage2. I wasn't happy with the REVO map as it had less functionality than the MRC version. Quiet start up / linear map on non-sport mode etc... Looking forward to it's return ;-)

Yes I considered Revo but they seem to be more main stream really and not really focused in any main area/car make! Will check out your results laster on FB

I would have thought it would be better surely to get the carbon clean done at the same time? Then you can get a true understanding of the ps with new section in exhaust system

Yes - I agree. Should be up on FB by Wednesday I'd imagine. ;-) Asked for some before/after carbon shots - might post them on here..... ;-) Mine was 392PS stock, Its currently 400ps so hopefully after this work will see some gains.

Had I been hunting for more power than yes that would have made sense but I was just looking to get my back box fitted to wake the town up every morning. The rest of the mods kinda just fell in place; I wanted to keep original exhaust whole and not cut in half, this meant getting the centre section and h pipes done at the same time. If I'm having that done I may as well dump the pre cat. If I dump the pre cat I need a remap. If I'm having the remap done I might as well do the cold air feed that I was going to have done later. If I'm having the bumper off for the cold air feed. Might as well have my leaky near side rad replaced. The important thing is that all of this can be done on the same day so doesn't delay me getting my noisy monster exhaust back. Carbon clean would have meant an overnight job and all I really want right now is my exhaust fitted.
