Best out of these?

Post by OskiRs4 » Sat Oct 13, 2012 4:47 pm

Hi:).

I went to my locale tire place today,
They offered me-

Mich P sport 2 @£240 each.

Contisport 3 @ £210 each.

Toyo Ti sports @£200 each

all fitted and balanced.

Are any of these any good? what are the best to go for?

Thanks

Michelin PS2's are the best IMHO but I have a soft spot for the Contis which I'd probably go for to save cash.

Wiki:
Factory supplied tyres included Continental SportContact 3, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, or Pirelli P-Zero Rosso — although many owners have questioned the load-carrying abilities of the Pirellis (from unexplained sidewall failures and dubious dynamic stability), opting for the more durable Michelins at replacement time
I have P Zeros and will change when it comes time.

I run the Conti's you have on your list. On my second full set and think they are more than enough for all road conditions and driving styles not on the track.

I personally don't rate the Contis - great when new, but seem to lose slow speed turn-in after 6-8k. Had the same with the Conti 2's on my S4, but maybe it's just me...

Out of those the PS2s would get my vote.

Defo the Michelin's but they seem a tad pricey to me, my local ATS did my Michelins at £200 a corner fully fitted 4 months ago...
