Whos on stock battery?

Post by lengster1 » Wed Oct 10, 2012 8:51 am

I left the tunes playing on mine the other weekend and ran it almost flat in a couple of hours,im not sure if that was an early sign of it being past its best? Its done very well i suppose at over 5 years old.Saying that i was shocked to take out the origonal last winter from my 2003 a4 tdi thats done 155k,that was a sterling effort for a battery!

There's a good chance there's nothing wrong with your battery.

All those little low volume whirls (?priming the fuel), courtesy lights etc when the doors open can drain the battery if done often enough. Mine wouldn't start after a marathon detailing session last summer by a friend of mine. He'd spent eight hours straight on it. The interior was particularly well done!

Same here, expecting it might go this Winter so I've got the details of the type number and a local battery wholesaler in the car.

I'm not surprised it went flat after having the stereo o for 2 hours. I never leave the stereo on for more than 20 mins without starting it. That was with just standard Bose amp etc. Now I've got the big amps in I start it up if the stereo is on for more than 5 mins.

Sorry! That was a photo from lengster's above post. Turned it another 90 degrees, hence 'fixed'.

But yeah, I did a good job on that.

Looks like SS+ to me - either that or the DRC is bust :(

Standard suspension is 2MC and SS+ is 2ME
