Replacement Trim

Post by playle46 » Fri Oct 05, 2012 2:38 pm

Hi

Bit of a boring question for a Friday afternoon but my Avant has the carbon trim and I'd prefer the brushed aluminium option. Would anyone know where I could get these or is it a dealer job?

Cheers

Dealer, Ebay, brekaers yard. It's the same as any other A4 so should be quite easy to find.

my guess is Pete like me has the aluminium trim and would consider a swap for the carbon one (like me) ;)

:bash:

are you crazy, the carbon looks fantastic! I think all the parts cost about £700 IIRC. I used to have aluminium trim in my RS4 and always wanted the carbon.

am sure you could buy the aluminium bits for a reasonable price, but I wouldnt bother.

2k!!

My RS4 is black so it kind of goes. Anyone know how much of a pain the middle console and dash bits are to remove? The doors, I understand, are easy.

Easy enough if you have spanners and time.
Nothing drastic just lots of screws IIRC

I saw a guide recently when I googled A4 B7 removing centre console.
Doors are a doddle and takes seconds to do each one. I've never removed the dashboard bits though.
