New Alloys :)

Post by AdrianD » Wed Aug 29, 2012 2:33 pm

After 8 looong weeks my new alloys finally arrived and fitted today... They're Avant Garde M310 which i had to have made special as they don't do these wheels for the RS4 in a 20 x 9.5 with the 5x112 fitment :)

They're 155x30x20. The offset is an ET30 but i still have the 10 / 8mm spacers fitted...

lol you do realise they're Black Optic tips don't you? ;-), seriously though the whole car is filthy but thankfully doesn't show too much in the pic! We've had stupid amounts of rain these last couple of days.. good weather forecast for tomorrow so it'll be clean again soon :)

so, regarding flushnicity:

stock is 9.0 width, ET29
these are 9.5 width, ET30

So the wheels alone are 12.7 mm wider of which 6.35 mm is on the outside. They are ET30 so net the equivalent is a stock wheel + 5.35mm spacers. You have 8 and 10mm spacers on top of that, so your setup is the flushness of stock wheels + 13.35 mm spacers up front and 15.35 mm spacers out back, right?

Just trying to wrap my head around it. I want to put 15mm spacers on the rear end of the car as the 10mm MTM ones I have are just not enough (but they're great for the front).

Whoops, my mistake, they're 20x9, the same width as OEM... ET30 so 1mm difference.. My OEM wheels with the 10mm spacers actually filled the arch slightly more (1mm more lol)... There was no way i could even have got another mm in my arches before, i can't see how your 10mm ones are not enough... maybe it's down to the tyres and the suspension as well (I have SS+ suspension)...
